Our process for weddings is a bit different than the average bakery. We like to meet with our couples to hear their story. Pieces of your journey in detail will help us create a menu that is unique and inspired by you. We believe that your story is important, and every detail of your wedding should reflect that. Even down to the dessert on the table.
Q: What is the basic breakdown of these meetings?
A: We will have two meetings. The first will consist of gathering over coffee and getting to know each other. I want to hear about each of you-how you met, things you enjoy doing together, how they popped the big question, and so on. I'll ask an array of questions and take notes. Then I'll send over two menus after a week, and plan a tasting.
Q: Two menus? How many pastries do I get to try?
A: We offer tastings from one menu. You're welcome to mix and match, but we will only do one set of pastry for a tasting. If you would like to taste both, then we can double to amount of the tasting to try all of the pastries! Either way, we're excited to create for you.
Q: Ohh I see. How much do tastings cost?
A: Basic tastings cost between $30-$60 depending on the menu and quantity of pastries that you are wanting to sample. We will send over the prices with the menus, so it will not be a surprise while you're mid-bite. This includes the menu that we agree upon, alongside your choice of coffee/tea to sip.
Q: What days are you available for these meetings?
A: We are available on Monday/Tuesday/Sunday of most weeks for wedding business. Occasionally we can work outside of this, but these days are concrete (unless stated otherwise).
Q: What if I just want something simple? I already kind of know what I want.
A: No worries at all! We can skip our process if you'd prefer. We just ask that you list in detail what it is you're looking for/envision so that we can get back to you with a few pairings. We like to include basics alongside an option or two that you wouldn't expect. Most often, it's the ones you don't expect that you end up liking best!
Q: Do you have a minimum?
A: We have a minimum of $700 for weddings. If you're really wanting to have us be your vendor, but you have extenuating financial circumstances, please still feel free to reach out! We can't guarantee that we will be able to take on your order, but there is no harm in asking. Please just include this in your first email so that we are aware and can better work with you.
Q: Is there a certain amount of time you need so we can book you?
A: We ask that you give us at least three months notice. We want to make sure that you're getting our absolute best, and that requires some planning time.
Q: Do you offer anything vegan or gluten free?
A: We do! It is important to mention that everything is made in a kitchen containing flour. So while we can make gluten free pastries, we can not guarantee 100% that it did not come into contact with flour. So if you are celiac, we suggest you check out an exclusively gluten free bakery.
