Howdy! It’s your fav floured gal, Brooke.

I'm a baker, forager, potter, writer, cat person, floured teacher, traveler, and day dreamer that enjoys the simple things in life.

Growing up as a child, I always had a deep love for Nature and pastry. You could almost always find me outside beneath our family magnolia tree with the most delicious peanut butter cookies mother had let me help make. I spent hours watching my grandmother and mother create beautiful treats in the kitchen from scratch, and of course was elated at the opportunity to play sous. When the time came and I was old enough, I was gifted the incredible duty of bringing dessert to all holiday and family gatherings. I was drawn to herbal and floral notes after spending copious amounts of time in the garden or venturing out on hikes. The smell of rosemary that lingered on my hands and foraging for ingredients soon turned into a love all its own. Over the past ten years I’ve found myself in different kitchens working alongside farmers and chefs alike, living overseas in places like France and Germany on small farms/bakeries to study bread in depth, and simply creating the art that I am so passionate about daily. It became increasingly apparent to me as I began chasing after my pastry dream and living through such beautiful experiences, that these two loves go hand in hand-that we are not separate from Nature as we are Nature. Through pastry I hope to bring people together and make an impact, however large or small that may be. It is my commitment and my constant desire for The Rosemary Bakery to offer an experience that is not only natural and pure, but also a reminder of the beauty around us.

After all, in every ingredient that we eat holds an incredible story of the Earth.

Al tavola, non s'invecchia.

With love,

-B
