This is the most famous pastry in Portugal, and once you taste one it’s easy to see why! I learned to make these in the district where they were originally created—Belém, Lisbon. These custard tarts are delicate, not too sweet, and have the slightest hint of cinnamon. Best eaten immediately (warm), or heated up (400F for 5 mins or until warm).
